California VW Diesel Cash Offer

Volkswagen (VW) just announced that they are offering cash to California VW owners who own Volkswagen diesel cars.  The cash offer comes in the form of $1000 made up of two parts.  $500 as a gift card and $500 must be used at a VW dealer for services or parts.

The cash offer looks like an attempt to placate VW car owners and as well as VW dealerships.  The $500 required to be used at dealers should be some business to their dealership, who have been very upset by the emission test cheating scandal.

VW owners will also be given free 24 hour access  to VW’s roadside assistance program for three years.

These offers look like a delay tactic, according to Peter Bezek, the managing partner of Foley Bezek Behle and Curtis, LP, a California class action and lemon law, law firm.  You can read more of his interview in the Los Angeles Times by clicking here.

California Lemon Law Attorney

A California Lemon law attorney is going to be your best friend if you recently purchase a new car that is defective.  After you buy a brand new car and problems arise, the dealership is always going to tell you that its a minor problem that can be fixed.  This is fine if the problem can be fixed with one and maybe two visits but anything more is just pain ridiculous.

I have had many friends in the Orange County and Los Angeles area who purchased beautiful new sports car that were defective.  It happens.  When you make that many cars a year there is bound to be some that don’t come out correctly.  In these cases, you want a replacement car not endless trips to the dealership.  Besides its a buzz kill.

You brought the new car to avoid have to deal with these kinds of things.  Otherwise you would have kept you old car and avoided the payments.  So if you have a car that is defective then talk to an attorney who is familiar with California’s lemon law statutes and enforce your rights.
